Whoopies with strawberry-buttercream

Whoopies! Do you know them already? They're cake-like cookies with cream between them. I heard about them from a friend and found lots and lots of them on Pinterest. After looking at all those pretty, lovely and yummy cookies I had to make them myself!


This is a recipe for whoopies with strawberry-buttercream. I used fresh strawberries in this recipe, but you can also use frozen ones, so you can eat them all year! Also, you can use the whoopie recipe and put something else between them. Maybe nutella, ganache or any other taste of buttercream. Use them for a high tea, a snack next to your coffee or as a gift for a friend!

The 'but-factor' and the '100 reasons'

We all know it: you want something, because it’s good for you, but we also want that other thing that isn’t that good for you. But in the end we’ll end up doing the second thing, because we’ve already got 100 reasons made up why we can do it. A bit more specific: you want to watch your weight, but you’re also craving for cookies. The effect? An hour later you’re in the kitchen baking some lovely cookies, because:

Cupcakes!

Making cupcakes, that sounds like fun! And it is! I have lots of books about wonderful cakes and cupcakes, but they were just laying there. First wait a few years and then do something with it. My advise to you: start a bit sooner, 'cause it's so much fun! To bring you in the right mood I wrote you a how-to post, so that you can start immediately!

Kwekerij @ home

Een kwekerij @ home? Ja dat kan, in het klein dan. Vandaag heb ik allerlei benodigdheden in huis gehaald om wat kruiden, fruit en groenten thuis te kweken. Geen idee of het wat gaat worden, maar we gaan het in ieder geval proberen!

Het meest makkelijke om te kweken dat ik heb gehaald is voor deze lieve mannen. Twee roodharige, grote, knuffelige en harige lieve mannen. Ook wel Pluis (links) en Snoes (rechts). Pluis is lekker aan het slapen op de foto. Het zou je misschien verbazen, maar er is een grote kans dat deze kater aan het snurken is. Jawel, ik heb een snurkende rode kater. Soms is het zo erg dat ik twee snurkende mannen heb, alleen is er maar één de kat.
